Dell Hines has helped large and mid-sized companies cut $187 million of cost over the last 12 years. His focus is on negotiating purchase agreements and improving business capabilities for acquiring general and administrative goods/services. Key to his success has been fostering innovation between clients and suppliers by collaborating on ways to create value with fewer, more highly motivated partners. In addition, by using software to automate routine procurement processes, he helps clients shift their focus from administrative purchasing tasks to higher value strategic sourcing activities.
He founded Axiom in 2006 following a successful career in consulting and industry. Most recently he served as Partner at CGI Group, a global consulting and technology firm, where he was a member of the leadership team of the Spend Management Solutions practice. In this role he was responsible for setting strategy and overseeing delivery of client procurement initiatives. As a result of his leadership, the business unit experienced earnings growth of 46%. Prior to CGI, he was with Accenture where he helped a variety of leading organizations develop and execute sourcing and procurement programs, global outsourcing initiatives, business development campaigns, and reengineering projects. Previously, he held roles as an advanced manufacturing improvement engineer at 3M.
Dell attended the Illinois Institute of Technology and holds a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from The University of Illinois at Chicago. He also holds an M.B.A. from the University of Michigan Ross School of Business.
He is a member of The Marathon Club as well as the Institute for Supply Management.
